As vice president, Inventory Solutions Management and Head of vAuto at Cox Automotive, Derek Hansen leads vAuto, Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer, and Upside. With a keen focus onevangelizing vAuto’s new Variable Management strategy and driving integrations between dealerworkflows and Cox Automotive’s offerings, he aims to deliver dealers more profitable, efficient, andseamless outcomes across their retail and wholesale portfolios.  Hansen joined the Cox Automotive team in January 2015 as senior director of strategic planningbefore taking on responsibility for Manheim’s digital operations as vice president of digital inventorysolutions. In that role, he led the development and integration of Manheim’s digital and physicalauctions and successfully launched and grew Manheim Express before joining vAuto as vicepresident of wholesale operations in 2020.
